I kind of think he is worse because it’s one thing to expect horrible, uncaring behavior from someone. It’s not shocking or disappointing when it happens but when someone acts good and sweet and wants to help and save people, wants to befriend them and get them through their trials and starts flipping coins over lives, that’s a mindfuck. I feel like he’s tricked most of us into thinking he was this pure soul that Emily said he was and I always thought that it was being a vampire that muddied it up while Damon was always twisted (watching Katherine kill humans and not caring then kissing her). But that was wrong. Stefan had it in him. He just suppressed it to be the anti-Damon in his father’s eyes, the “good” son much like Elena tries to be anti-Katherine sometimes. But Stefan has times when he’s really honest and showing you his darkness, like in this scene, and it wasn’t taken seriously. It was a “lapse” and not used to define his character but it should have been. At least Damon is upfront about being an asshole. I’d rather that than someone pretend.

He is worst. I can’t believe I’m turning on Stefan like this, but thinking of how he did Bonnie…there’s no going back from that. I’m the type of person that if you claim to be my friend, then do me dirty, there’s no coming back from that because actions speak louder than words. When I think of all the times this dude begged Bonnie to help him with spells for Elena and even for Caroline with his “then trust me” and “please, Bonnie?” only to have him turn against her with only a second of hesitation says it all. Damon actually killed and turned Abby, but I’m more pissed off at Stefan if you can believe it. Maybe it’s because you expect behavior like this from Damon, so it doesn’t hurt as much, but this sly motherfucker. With all his claims to be the good brother. Vidding, I get the chance to re-watch alot of his scenes with Bonnie and it just hurts my heart to know how it all ended. We were hoping that they’d get back to the friendship they were forming in season 1, but it’ll never happen. And even if it does—the writers dropped it for his relationship with Caroline anyway—I’ll never buy into it.
